The Training Centre is conducting a labour market project to identify individuals that have to travel outside of our communities for work, and the skills they are taking with them. The goals of the project are to determine the required skills for existing initiatives and businesses within our communities, and to develop recommendations that will lead to the creation of high quality employment opportunities within our communities. This will help keep our workforce here rather than exporting them. Also, the project will lead to the creation of the Community Commitment to Action Consortium whose goal will be to move forward and implement the recommendations that come out of this project.
--We Want to Hear From You!
On-Line Workforce Survey Determining the current skills that are being exported is a major focus of this project, and if you are a person who currently has to travel to another town or city for work, then we would really like to hear from you. Please take 30 seconds to fill out our workforce survey. It consists of only five simple questions.

Focus Groups Sessions The focus group sessions will provide a forum for community members and business owners to provide input and insight into the project. It will require approximately 2-2.5 hours of your time commitment to probe a variety of issues related to the project. For your commitment in attending the focus groups we will provide you with a $50 gas gift card.
Below is the official press release for the project.
