Child Development Practitioner Pre-Apprenticeship

In 2012, GTTI offered the first pre-apprenticeship Child Development Practitioner program funded through the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. 

Over 60 community members applied to the program and after a period of academic upgrading, 20 were accepted to go through the training in partnership with Seneca College. 

Many of the students found placements in child care centers across York Region and are well on their way to permanent employment in the child care sector as ECE’s!
